Eleuterio "Junior" Salazar, Jr. is a local political leader, activist, and first generation son of immigrants.  Mr. Salazar was born at Manatee Memorial Hospital and has spent the majority of his life in Manatee County. At the age of 10 Mr. Salazar suffered the loss of his father to suicide. This loss was difficult for him and he chose to focus his time and energy on community service and mental health awareness. Mr. Salazar was awarded the Governors Points of Light award by Governor Jeb Bush and the Presidents Points of Light award by President George W. Bush for his service to Manatee County. Mr. Salazar has served as the youngest elected President/CEO of the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, Mr. Salazar qualified as the youngest and first latino candidate for Mayor of the City of Bradenton. Mr. Salazar currently works in the banking and finance industry and is the proud father to his beautiful daughter, Ashlyn.
